Help Design the First Flight
Your experience should shape the system.
Flight 01 is still being designed.
Before we decide how mentorship, HELP, PHILL Passport, rewards, communication, or community engagement should work, we want to hear from the people who would actually experience them.
We are looking for Houston-area men and community members willing to help us understand a simple question:
What makes staying engaged with your health easier—and what gets in the way?
You do not need healthcare expertise. Your experience is the expertise we need.
What you may help design
You may be invited to help us examine:
- How men hear about the Men’s Health Challenge
- What makes a mentor useful—or intrusive
- What kinds of barriers people actually face
- When and how HELP should respond
- What information PHILL Passport should—and should not—hold
- What incentives feel appropriate
- How privacy and participant choice should work
- What success should mean to participants
This is not recruitment for healthcare. Joining the co-design process does not require you to change doctors, receive an HIV test, disclose your health status, or enroll in Flight 01. Participation in future research or program activities would involve separate information and consent processes.
We have ideas. You have the right to challenge them.
If community participation does not change Flight 01, we did not meaningfully co-design it.
